This year we will once again be taking our youth (completed 6th – 12th grade) to summer camp in Siloam Springs, AR. l
We will meet at the church Monday morning, July 9, at 10:00AM to load up the vans and will return to the church Friday, July 13. We should be back around lunch time, give or take.
The cost for camp is $139 per camper. We will be working to offset that cost through youth fundraisers, sponsorships, and scholarships. We want to make sure every child and student has the opportunity to go to camp. Please see Bro. Paul if you have any questions. Checks may be made out to the church.

Scriptural Theme
Numbers 14:24 “Because my servant Caleb has a different spirit and follows me wholeheartedly, I will bring him into the land he went to, and his descendants will inherit it.”
Numbers 13 and 14 describe the story of 12 heroes sent into the Promised Land as spies. The report they brought back was that the land was good, but dangerous. In that instant, the nation of Israel forgot all that the Lord had promised to them and they became afraid.
Two heroes, Caleb and Joshua, stepped forward, silenced the people and tried to instill courage into the hearts of the Israelites, saying, “There is no reason to be afraid. God is with us.” Their attempt failed in the eyes of the Israelites, but in God’s eyes they were greater than all the other heroes; they were Superheroes. The Lord described Caleb as having a “different spirit” because he followed the Lord wholeheartedly.
Join us this summer as Camp Siloam explores what it means to live with a “different spirit.” This summer we will study the characteristics of faith, courage and obedience that Caleb and Joshua had which gave them the confidence to take a stand for God.
Program Theme: Superheroes
Superheroes – heroes with talents above and beyond those of regular heroes. Superheroes use their power for justice and fighting evil. They are un-selfish; giving everything they have to save the world!
Classic superheroes like Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and Captain Marvel have a costume, a secret identity, a logo, a super-power, gadgets and maybe even a theme song. However, they also have a weakness. Superman’s weakness is Kryptonite, Wonder Woman’s weakness is having her hands tied together by a man and Captain Marvel Jr. can’t say his own name.
To celebrate this year’s theme we want youth groups to invent a superhero identity and come to camp ready to unleash their superhero. To come up with a new superhero who has his or her own costume, logo, super-power, gadgets, side-kick, weakness and maybe even a theme song. Superhero identities should be distinctive, creative, wacky and fun. They must also be church camp appropriate.
Prayer Theme
In Joshua 5:13-15 our superhero, Joshua, is confronted by the Commander of the Army of the Lord. Joshua asks questions of the Commander (who many believe is an appearance of Jesus before his birth) but the Commander doesn’t answer his questions. Instead worship is evoked in Joshua.
Often in scripture when man questions the Lord, God does not answer the questions directly, but worship is evoked. This implies that in the presence of God’s mighty goodness, questions are irrelevant.
So many campers come to camp with questions about eternity and their life. Please join the Camp Siloam staff in praying that these questions would be irrelevant in the overwhelming glory of God’s goodness and sovereignty. sovereignty.
